You are here: Irish Education System > > Application Procedure
Applying to participate in education at primary or post-primary levels is a straightforward procedure. Interested parties should contact the schools of their choice directly well in advance of the start of the school year.
Enrolment in Second-Level Schools
The selection and enrolment of pupils in second-level schools is the responsibility of the authorities of the individual school, subject to relevant recognition and funding conditions. As schools may not have a place for every applicant, a selection process may be necessary.
There are a number of private, fee charging organisations who will make arrangements on behalf of a student wishing to be placed in a primary or post-primary school. For futher details contact International Education Board Ireland.
